Job Title: Development and Communications Manager
Reports to: YWCA Executive Director
Status: Full-time, exempt position
General Description: Manages the fund development and marketing efforts of the YWCA in order to meet the fund development annual financial goal.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working with the Executive Director, create an annual fund development and communications plan and budget to meet the fundraising goal established in the organization’s annual operating budget.
Manage a plan of work and budget, based on specific income goals and timelines, for the successful completion of fund development activities, including but not limited to special events and annual campaign.
Oversee development and maintenance of the organization’s website, e-newsletter and communications, and special e-advocacy efforts.
Oversee development of agency collateral, including printed brochures, outreach materials and special event marketing.
Manage donor database, including data entry, donor acknowledgements and report generation.
Recruit and manage volunteer committee members to assist in implementing the fund development and communications plan.
Assure appropriate utilization of volunteer skills and resources and provide guidance and recognition for their time and efforts.
College graduate or equivalent experience.
Minimum three to five years in non-profit fundraising.
Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising experience that includes special events.
Website management and e-communications experience.
Donor database management experience.
Self-motivated, results oriented with strong organizational skills.
An effective written and oral communicator. Marketing and public relations experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
