Job Title: Development and Communications Manager
Reports to: YWCA Executive Director
Status: Full-time, exempt position

General Description: Manages the fund development and marketing efforts of the YWCA in order to meet the fund development annual financial goal.

Responsibilities and Duties:
 Working with the Executive Director, create an annual fund development and communications plan and budget to meet the fundraising goal established in the organization’s annual operating budget.
 Manage a plan of work and budget, based on specific income goals and timelines, for the successful completion of fund development activities, including but not limited to special events and annual campaign.
 Oversee development and maintenance of the organization’s website, e-newsletter and communications, and special e-advocacy efforts.
 Oversee development of agency collateral, including printed brochures, outreach materials and special event marketing.
 Manage donor database, including data entry, donor acknowledgements and report generation.
 Recruit and manage volunteer committee members to assist in implementing the fund development and communications plan.
 Assure appropriate utilization of volunteer skills and resources and provide guidance and recognition for their time and efforts.
 
Qualifications Required:
 College graduate or equivalent experience.
 Minimum three to five years in non-profit fundraising.
 Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising experience that includes special events.
 Website management and e-communications experience.
 Donor database management experience.
 Self-motivated, results oriented with strong organizational skills.
 An effective written and oral communicator. Marketing and public relations experience preferred.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office.
 Reliable transportation.
 Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
